I was gone for a year, February 6th was apparently the last time I touched my website....
Now, the whole "hibernation so there's nothing to talk about" thing is a good excuse, but when it came time for spring and I didn't return... Lets just say it was, at least at first, a case of "there is still nothing to talk about!" But when it came time to post the news of one of my turtles being given to a new home, (and a new turtle coming into the family a few months later) and the recent work on Turtle Town's new sister habitat, when I would have loved to update the website I couldn't because.. My computer had been updated (then broke) and I lost my copy of Dreamweaver, the program I use to create my website....
Having no way to replace the program on an already broken computer, I had no choice but to keep the website in hibernation UNTILL nearly a year later when I got a new computer and was able to obtain another, nice new copy of Dreamweaver.
JUST IN TIME for my turtles RETURNED to their winter nap.
Now, since my turtles have gone back to bed.. What do I have to talk you ask? Why, a lot of make-up work that's what! Everything I intended to do last year or big news I was hoping to eventually put this year I will do over winter.
One new thing, as I vaguely mentioned above, is that one of my baby turtles found a happy home.
On June 3rd I prepared her for her jounry and printed up a baisc care sheet and a list of products that the new owners should buy.

Grace is now in the hands of a family friend and her two children =)

The raised vegetable garden next to Turtle Town is -slowly- being turned into an enclosed habitat to hold all the young turtles.

While the habitat I built last year (or was it 2 years ago?) is going to be converted into a worm farm so that it will still hold purpose.
And recently my Uncle found a hatchling in his yard from his box turtles. He brought it to my care on 10/10/10, and I decided to call her Forda (or Ford for a boy) S/he's a tiny, but healthy baby Three Toed Box Turtle.

Since s/he came via car, Ford seemed fitting.. and incase you missed it; 101010 is binary for 42, a famous number from the book/movie Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, and one of the main characters is Ford (now see the connection I made there?).
So clearly a lot has been going on... I would have loved to share it but I had no means of doing just that, so instead I just kept a mental note of what I could add once I got a new computer/way of making websites without having to learn to code.
I did get one message on one of my you tube videos a few months ago asking me to " PLEASE keep updated your Turtle Town website. I love it so much but all the information is old. PLEASE UPDATE AND EDIT IT?" And I had to inform them "I'm sorry, my computer broke! I'll keep you posted >.<"
For anyone else that felt the same way; "I'M SORRY, MY COMPUTER BROKE! I'll go update now.... *opens all 50-someodd pages*"
