Summer Transportation
Moving in the summer is best for many obvious reasons. One, you can easily gather all the turtles up in the summer. And two, the weather won't be too cold so you won't need any extra heating.

There Are Two Ways:

-Simply make space for a decent size cardboard box or plastic storage box that will be big enough for all the turtles you have, and high enough so they can't climb out. Put some dirt, dead leaves, and some food in the box and they should be fine, check on them throughout the ride.

-And the second way is, for example, you have 2 turtles, go out and buy 2 plastic bins with lids (or sturdy shoe boxes). They need to be about twice the height of the turtle and the box needs to be big enough so your turtle can move and turn around easily. Put some newspaper or soil inside, drill holes in the lid, and change the newspaper/substrate when needed at rest stops. This is only for short distance travel, if you have very few turtles or little room in your car.

Winter Transportation
This may be pretty hard to do safely. One, you'll have trouble getting your turtle's up from their nap =) and two, you need to work fast because the cold could cause them to get sick

Most Advised Method:

First, fill a hot-water bottle with water at about 86' F (30' C) and place it into a cardboard box. Put your turtle into a sack made of cotton or linen, and set your turtle into the box, on top of the hot water bottle, then close the box, wrap it with a blanket. This should leave your turtle perfectly fine for about an hour. After an hour you can open the box to give your turtle some fresh air, and maybe refill the hot-water bottle if needed.

WARNINGS:
-NEVER expose your turtle to cold air, even for a few moments; this could make your turtle sick.

-If you are waking your turtle up from hibernation, slowly adjust them to warm temperature 5 degrees at a time, than prepare them for travel. This also applies to putting your turtle back into hibernation, but in reverse.
